Color Brave Space -

The school reported a new admissions specialist and volunteer coordinator and requested recess and lunch volunteers.

**New building is on track, Melissa did a tour. Construction at OVA is also on schedule. **

**They are planning for a Dia De Los Muertos festival. If students have images or other things they are encouraged to bring them in. **

A special-education instructional-assistant vacancy and additional support needs were noted.

**The school has some rollover money from sub reimbursement that may be used to help support SPED. **

Support for special-education staff was discussed.

Recess and lunch volunteer needs were repeated.

Room-parent volunteers were sought.

**2 events coming up: Inclusion benefits everyone, so why aren’t we doing it? If you are interested in hearing more about inclusion Oct 19th **

**Ross Green author of the explosive child. Idea - children do well when they can. Presenting a framework for how to work with kids around problems and behavior problems. Erica is the Co-chair of the Seattle SPED PTSA. **

The new MOU included returning 5% to the Move-A-Thon pot.

**School supplies We raised $7135 for supplies, most of it was raised in the Fall. We have spent about 5-6000 of that. Question: Does this mechanism work better for teachers? **

**Classrooms need tissues - use school supplies for that. **

Field-trip reimbursement requests were directed to the Kimball address, rather than a volunteer's personal address.

**Another school just finished a clothing swap - could we do something like that? **

**Core team is here to help connect. Please reach out. The CORE team is still working on how often we need to meet. Probably Tuesdays 7:15-8:45. **
