Discussion: How to best introduce the core team to the community (new staff, new families, and those who might be interested in getting involved)

Families meet with core team date - Friday October 7th @3:30-6:30pm at Jefferson Park

- Add to Monday half-sheet sent home in backpacks

Discussion: How to on-board new folks? How to balance working meetings with core team meetings?

Some parents expressed interest in lunchtime volunteering or just generally getting involved in PTSA
Send initial email about meeting times and that more opportunities to get involved are coming

A few ways for parents to plug in:

Core team meeting monthly and others are welcome to come
Would expect 1st PTSA meeting to be highly attended - should we account for that?
Curriculum night - can PTSA plug in as well somehow? (October)
First meeting Tuesday Oct 11th @7:15pm (but make sure date doesn’t conflict with Kimball events)
Meeting monthly or twice-monthly - maybe start with 2 meetings a month but feel ok with canceling
Wondering about energy for facilitating - maybe we send out sign-up sheet that first meeting for facilitators
Continue Color Brave Space norms
Would be very nice to have interpretation for our working meetings, but it’s a lot of work. Prioritize interpretation for community meetings?
