7:38 - Admin - School year has been extended until next Thursday. We get out at a different time each day next week. No School on Monday. Kindergarten enrollment for next year is low for the Fall. Main page on the website - how to enroll.

Michelle Bradley - Budget Review (Melanie and Adi) Added line item for warm weather gear. Interventionists adding a line item. Increased funding for special education staff. Reduction to 33,000 (contingency line items were impacted) Extra support PTSA. Reduced line item for RET, Budget line item. Grades and team support and reduced to 20 teachers. (18 teachers)

Why was the budget reduced - decentering fundraising and centering advocacy work. Next school year will be more focussed on this approach. Slowly transitioning of 3-5 years to decenter fundraising and not be at the center of our work. Quarterly email reminder about use of funds to staff to requesting money. Would the money for the Roots program come back in the future? Ms. Gray doesn’t know if it will come back.

Budget was voted upon - Charissa opened the recommendation and LB seconded the motion. 10 votes of approval

Presentation on a new IEP guide by a Seattle Special Education PTSA member. This district-wide PTSA serves disabled children in Seattle. The family-to-family guide for special education at SPS was described as translated into ten languages. Connecting bilingual instructional assistants with the presenter once the document was ready was discussed.

The Art Walk income update was listed, but no details were recorded.

School supplies update (Michelle B) - Online donations, $1,848 have been raised so far. Goal was to raise: $2,500 anything above would contribute to the school.

-Class photos (Charissa) - Free class photo next year. Can PTSA pay for it next year. We don’t have spare 2K for class photos. Come up with a creative idea

Core team update: several individuals had stepped forward to participate in shared leadership.
