General Meeting: PTSA Roles and Community Engagement
Notes from the Discussion:
- PTSA is in some rebuilding as seasoned folks are moving on. We have need for new leadership, to build the core team, and to clarify to the wider community what we do.
- In order to be in compliance with the state as a PTA, Julian got access to GiveBacks platform and has added a couple of members to get us to the requisite 25 and added people in titles roles. Those need to be codified once we have a clear group of committed members after the all school meeting.
- Elizabeth put together an overview of PTSA projects and their leads so we could get a sense of what’s been happening and where opportunities are for plugging new people in. (See later in notes)

Kimball PTSA 2024–2025: Roles and Opportunities
*Should we add something re: global majority school? Here’s language we used for recruiting Class Parents (thanks, Charissa!) . . . *Looking for caring individuals who reflect the diversity of our school (74% students of color, 29% multilingual from 2023/24 data) that can work cross-culturally.
